The Government of Chile extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and those affected by Hurricane Irma, expressing its solidarity with the Governments of Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti, the Bahamas, Cuba, the United States and the inhabitants of the islands of Saint Martin, Saint Bartholomew, Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands, the United States Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The Chilean government informs that to date there is no record of Chileans among the fatalities caused by the passing of this phenomenon through the Caribbean and the United States. On the other hand, our Consulates in Miami and Havana continue to work in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to face this emergency.
